How we handle harassment at First Response Finance

We’ve been working within the financial services industry for almost 30 years, over which time our processes have been continuously evolving to put our customers and staff at the heart of everything we do.

This is evidenced in the hundreds of 5-star reviews we have received across Feefo and Trustpilot, which speak of great service and friendly staff.

At First Response Finance, we take pride in the wellbeing of our employees and doing what we can to ensure they work in an environment free from harassment and abuse.

To further this, we take a zero-tolerance approach, both internally and externally. Zero-tolerance at First Response means all incidents will be investigated to understand the perceived harassment and the severity, to decide on next steps.

Where the incident involves a third party, the outcomes could include anything from an expectation setting conversation to align behaviours going forwards, to the complete termination of a business relationship.

There is nothing new about this process – calls have been recorded for monitoring purposes for many years, and we have historically terminated business relationships due to unreasonable behaviour. However, in response to recent changes to legislation, we’re making our standpoint more public to raise awareness of our expectations.

We are proud to hold many positive relationships with dealers, suppliers and customers and look forward to doing so in the years to come.
