EXISTING CUSTOMERS ONLY
As part of the service to our current customers, we offer a monthly repayable unsecured personal loan that can be used to cover those unexpected costs that can occur. A personal loan is a very straight forward product but it is unsecured, so this does mean the interest rates tend to be higher than a Hire Purchase or secured agreement.
We recommend applying to your own bank before applying to us as this is likely to be the best option for most people.
Personal Loan Pros and Cons
- Simple and quick to arrange
- Fixed monthly payments
- Fixed interest rates
- Flexible term lengths 6-24 months
- Early settlement available to save on interest
- Approval is subject to investigation and status
- Proofs may be required for approval
- A penalty is applicable if you settle early
- Higher interest rate than Hire Purchase
- Late payments can attract additional charges and interest
Unsecured personal loans can be a good financial option to help with those unexpected costs that can occur.
You will usually find that interest rates are higher on shorter terms; however a shorter term does usually mean you pay less back overall. Our advice would be to make the term as short as possible but with repayments you can comfortably afford. We are a responsible lender and will not knowingly lend to any customers where our product will cause more financial stress.
We lend to our current customers as we know you personally and with that in mind we will offer you the best rate we can.
How to apply for a Personal Loan
As our Personal Loans are only available to current customers you can apply directly through our renewals department. Once you're talking to one of our team they'll have a look at your past payments with us and run through a quick application - as you're already a customer it's a matter of confirming your details and your eligibility.
Beware; every time you apply for credit it is generally affecting your credit rating negatively and therefore your ability to secure a loan.
Alternatives to unsecured loans
Alternatives to a personal loan such as credit cards, secured loans or a re-mortgage, are dependent on how much you wish to borrow. There are pros and cons to all these products, but unfortunately we do not currently offer any of them, nor can we recommend any companies who do. We would always advise customers to research their options and choices before applying for any type of credit.
If you are struggling with debt, we advise you not to take on additional debt, but first seek independent advice.
