CADWELL PARK – April 26/27
With Cadwell Park being one of my favourite track's I was all fired up for this race weekend. We arrived on the Friday for a whole day testing and with my previous knowledge of Cadwell Park I was able to set fast laps straight away going 1 second a lap faster than i have ever done before.

With weather conditions looking good it was set for a good test day, but only 2 hours in, the day was over!

On my way into a fast 80 mph right hand corner called (PARK) at the end of the back straight, I was knocked off by rider 30 Aleksandrs Bekers who couldn't stop in time to make the corner and hit me side on at 80+mph sending us both in to the grass! This put an end to the rest of the day for me as I had quite a lot of repairs to carry out.

On the Saturday, with a high speed crash still fresh in my mind I qualified 15th on the grid out of 28. My qualifying time I knew was 2 seconds slower than i could run. This I was anticipating with it being the first time on the bike since the Friday crash, but the main concern was to prepare my mind for the 3 Sunday races.

Sunday, the best weather we had seen so far this year set for a good day's racing. I lined up on the grid in 15th position after our warm up lap waiting for the red light to go out. As the light go's out all 28 riders roar to the first corner (COPICE) I take the out side line and by the second corner I’m lying in 9th.

Going round the second corner a fast 100 mph right hand bend called (CHARLIES) I've got the inside line with rider 58 Tom Fisher rubbing elbows with me trying to go around my left side. On the final part of Charlies; Fisher try's to cut back in on my line not knowing there is no way he will make it without contact between us, and with me already asking the most out of my tyre's grip I was knocked off again!!!

Not a good place to slide across a track with 18 bikes trying to avoid you. All but 1 managed it, and with no where to go He ran over my Right knee sending him down as well.  With my knee now 50% bigger than it usually is, I repaired the bike and finished both of the final races in 12th and 13th position nowhere near where I anticipated – but that’s racing!
